Visual Arts.
Visual Arts has a special place at Masada and is taught to all students in Kindergarten to Year 8 and as an elective subject in Years 9 to 12.
The subject offers competence in skills that are important in life; skills like patience and resolve, determination and courage. Students are encouraged to explore a diverse range of artists and their artworks.
Through real world experiences and their senses, students find connection and meaning enabling them to make and interpret art for themselves.
At Masada, the arts are a gateway to a deeper understanding of the world. They encourage students to open their minds, reflect, gain perspective, imagine, and create.
For us, art is not just about the end product but also about the journey – one that shapes students through valuable lessons and skills. Throughout their time in Visual Arts students are further given opportunities to explore their passions through incursions and excursions.
Masada performs strongly in HSC Visual Arts, with many past students having been showcased in ArtExpress. Numerous alumni have also gone on to have distinguished creative careers.

Our Visual Arts program offers an extensive range of innovative art-making techniques, fostering creativity and exploration including:
- Painting
- Drawing
- Sculpture
- Textiles
- Photography
- Ceramics
- Digital Media
- Printmaking
