Masada Ski Camp

Over 30 students plus staff have been enjoying the great snow conditions at Perisher over the July holidays. Friendships have been made and developed, new skills have been learnt and resilience has been built. The mountains can teach you a lot! Thank you to the students for for your enthusiasm and sense of fun and to the staff for making it possible and their endless support.

Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award

Our students had an incredible experience on their Gold Duke of Edinburgh Northern Territory trip. It was once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and we thank Black Diamond Adventures, Masada College staff and the Masada Community for making the trip possible. The opportunity had a significant impact on personal growth, learning and development

College Deputy Principal Announcement

It is with great pleasure that we announce the appointment of Mr Ryan Gill as our College Deputy Principal ELC to Year 12.

Mr Gill has been an invaluable asset to Masada College for the past 13 years and his dedication and expertise has had a significant impact across the College. From his role as Head of Learning and Teaching Years 7 to 12, to developing and nurturing our Culture of Thinking to his appointment in December 2020, as the Head of Senior School, Mr Gill has consistently shown his exceptional educational and management skills.

His remarkable contributions have earned the utmost respect from both our staff and students alike. We couldn’t be more delighted to see Mr Gill stepping into this well-deserved new role.

Masada Nominated for Secondary School of the Year

We are thrilled to share that Masada College has been nominated for the Australian Education Awards Secondary School of the Year (Non-Government). It is an honour to be recognised with this excellence award and it is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our exceptional educators. We are incredibly proud and grateful for their commitment to our students.

New College Principal Announced

Masada College is thrilled to share exciting news of the appointment of our new College Principal. The Board of Management has conducted a rigorous recruitment process to find a principal who inspires a love of learning, upholds the core Jewish values, is dedicated to achieving the highest academic outcomes and exhibits a strong drive to contribute to the continuous growth of Masada College.

The College is delighted to announce the appointment of new College Principal, Mrs Raquel Charet, who will formally commence her role in Term 1, 2024. Mrs Charet grew up predominantly in Sydney, attending Yeshivah College (now known as Kesser Torah College) and then relocated to Melbourne where she graduated from Beth Rivkah Ladies College. Having obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Jewish Studies, a Master of Teaching (Secondary), a Master of Science (Coaching Psychology), all from the University of Sydney, and an Advanced Diploma in Early Childhood Management, Mrs Charet is a highly qualified educator. Mrs Charet has over 10 years’ experience as a Principal, first at Sydney Montessori School and most recently, Georges River Grammar, where she has held the role of Principal for five years, leading a Kindergarten to Year 12 school of over 900 students.

Podcasting Club Launch

We’re thrilled to introduce ‘Five at the Hive’, a brand-new Masada College podcast by our co-curricular Podcasting Club! Students in Years 7 to 9 have produced bite-sized 5-minute episodes on topics of interest, from the mysteries of Atlantis to the latest social media trends. Tune in and be inspired!

Welcoming Mr Naftali Bennett

Today, Masada College had the honour of welcoming Mr Naftali Bennett. His inspiring insights on Jewish identity deeply resonated with our students and staff. The performances by the IDF ensemble and our talented Masada College students made the event even more memorable. We are grateful to the United Israel Appeal Australia for making this visit possible. What a privilege to have been a part of this incredible experience!
