Long Day Care & Early Learning Ages 2–5
Located within the lush, leafy grounds of Masada College in St Ives, our ELC offers children aged 2–5 years a nurturing and intellectually rich environment.
Grounded in the Harvard Project Zero Cultures of Thinking framework, our approach encourages curiosity, independence, and a love of learning from the earliest years.
With small class sizes, specialist educators, and a seamless transition into Junior School, every child is supported to build strong foundations for lifelong learning and future success.
We are open from 7.30am till 6pm Monday – Friday with parents selecting either a short (7.30am-4.30pm) or long day (7.30am-6pm). Our Centre provides three nutritious meals a day – morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.
Masada College specialist Junior School teachers teach our Early Learning Centre Music, Sport and Jewish Studies classes which not only provide students with high quality programs but also assist in their transition to Junior School. Our lush outdoor areas include a sandpit, mud pit, bike tracks and a variety of fun age appropriate equipment for the children to enjoy. Each and every room is utilised to enhance children’s cognitive, physical, emotional, social, communication and spiritual development.
We offer a range of programs within our ELC and we are an Approved Long Day Care Centre, therefore allowing families that meet the government’s eligibility criteria to receive government subsidies to help offset the cost of early learning. We run a preschool program within the long day hours to allow families and children to benefit from an enriching learning environment and as well as flexible hours to accommodate families’ needs.

Our Kindy Readiness Program is designed to give children a confident start to school, with a structured yet flexible approach that balances play-based learning and early development. We focus on social and emotional wellbeing, ensuring children feel secure as they learn to navigate relationships, routines, and new experiences.
Through daily opportunities to learn, play and grow, children are encouraged to problem-solve, experiment, and explore, building curiosity, creativity, and imagination in a safe and supportive childcare environment.
